Most people feel anxiety occasionally but there are some people who are so affected by anxiety that they start changing their behavior in order to cope with anxiety. Although these changes might be better in some cases e.g. if a person is anxious about his/her weight and starts eating healthier and starts exercising then it might be beneficial for him/her. This helps to stop anxiety attacks. But sometimes, these changes may occur in a negative way as some people may start to not participate in things they commonly enjoy doing.

Anxiety attacks or disorders can cause sleeplessness, can cause a person to overmedicate themselves with drink, sex, food, and can also cause behavior avoidance. It's a good idea to seek help if these problems are making you sleepless at night, changing the way you live, causing panic attacks or these problems are becoming persistent. Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) is one of the chief advocated methods that can be used to stop anxiety attacks. Anxiety may cover the core beliefs or deep sadness or traumatic events. CBT helps to understand what is behind anxiety and it has proven an effective treatment for many people.

When therapy alone is not sufficient to stop anxiety then you may be suffering from panic disorders or anxiety disorders. You can seek the help of a psychiatrist who can provide you mediation that regulates brain chemicals, which cause anxiety attacks. CBT and medication when used together can work efficiently in order to stop anxiety attacks.

What was cause of anxiety attack during workout and after?
Ok, I am a 29 yr old male, and I have gained 30lbs in the last 7 months total weight is 208lbs. back to the gym time..So I start off slow for a week then I really hit it hard this week. My trainer smashed my legs (figurative) then the next day I did chest, next day back and arms. During the phase where i was focused on my back I was finishing my pull downs and bam it hits me. Anxiety attack. Now I had taken a protein shake, creatine, omega cuts, and multi vitamin, but all I had to eat all day was two quick hotdogs (not my usual diet was in a rush). So essentially I was full of supplements no real food. Afterward I had myself convinced I had water inotxication cause I had 60 ounces in an hour...not the case. I felt very spacey for the next 2 hrs very panicy and jittery. I haven't had an anxiety attack in 6 years...weird. Blood sugar, supplements, over did it????

I remember going to bed feeling scared (like always) ever since I graduated from college. I also had cold and I woke up middle of night because I was thirsty then all of a sudden I got chill and felt cold like I've never felt before. I got scared, and I felt like I could not breath, and when i wrap the blanket around my shoulder and tried to calm down, then it went away, but still felt dizzy afterwards. CAN IT AFFECT MY LIFE? that's what I'm afraid of T-T I don't want to have that again. I meant ever since I graduated from high school NOT college oops...
