What would cause pieces of undigested food to show up in stool within hours?
Background: My life began to change about a year and a half ago. Since Jan 2011 I have noticed multiples symptoms including: irritability, migraines, anxiety(+depression), yellow stool, major fatigue, red eyes(very sensitive to light), increased sweating of feet, and back pain. My symptoms seem to increase upon waking up in the morning. Last night we went out to eat and for the first time in a month I ate broccoli. In almost exactly two hours I used the restroom only to find a small piece of undigested broccoli within my stool. I had a feeling for a while that my food was going undigested but this was such extreme evidence I want to know if anyone is aware of what it could be. Thanks. PS: Very suitingly I forgot to mention one of the main symptoms I have noticed within the year and half: short term memory loss. Also I am a 20 year old previously in perfect health male. No current medication at this time. Yes, lately since I have began to assume indigestion I have made it a point to check stool for anything out of the normal.
