What are the chances of me being havin a brian tumour? or am i a hypochondriac and just being a teenager!?
Basically, in january of this year i went to the doctors after being pretty ill with a cough i ended up having this cough for about 8 weeks, and i eventually became worried and thought i had pneumonia i know this might sound stupid but i was just scared so i went to the doctors and she told me it was just a viral infection and she gave me a nasal drip or something to help get rid of it then the next week one day i suddenly became tired and became worried of a brain tumour and i went to the doctors again and explained how i felt and she said the viral infection has gone and i was just suffering to a minor case of post viral fatigue but i was convinced i had a brain tumour due to headaches and tiredness but no seizures or vomiting etc. Eventually all this died of a bit but now again i have just started getting headaches again no vomiting or nausea and the headaches have really got better if anything but i cant help thinking i have a brain tumour! And the headaches are worse when i think about it. When asking my school nurse about it and she said your going through something that every teenager in one way or another will go through and this is depression and anxiety where apparently i can imagine symptoms:s and she said it is highly unlikely for me to have a brain tumour. What i would like i think is some reasurrance and some advice on how like to get my mind of things and how to stop thinking i have a brain tumour and maybe some sort of ideas of what it could be? Would be really helpful and maybe some experienced answers and mature ones thanks :) x
