Relieving anxiety/nervousness?
I have a doctors appoint in a few days, and I'm really nervous. It is a physical, and I've never been so scared of anything in my life. Before you say anything: Don't even bother telling me that I shouldn't cut or that I should just get over my issues. If you think that people self-harm because they're too stupid to control their emotions or something stupid like that, yore wrong. Okay? Well, about a month ago, I was really depressed, and went through a horrible phase of self-harm. But it ended in my cutting deep enough to need stitches, which I never got. The problem is, the cut is still healing. I am young enough to go to a pediatrician. I have been feeling very stressed out about my doctor asking me to take off my bracelets and seeing the cut. I am VERY worried that she will tell my parents and that I will be forced into therapy again. (And no, therapy had nothing to do with helping me stop cutting myself. Therapy made my cutting issue worse.) So, I need some good ways to help me relax before the appointment. It is in two days. On thursday. I was also wondering If you guys think that the doctor will make me take off my bracelets. Also, does anyone know if I have to have a parent/guardian present in the room during the physical? I live in NY and I am 13, if that helps. Any advice on any problem will help, but I really need help relaxing, because the anxiety is interfering with my sleep and social life. Thank you.

How effective is Paxil?
I just got a prescription today for Paxil for anxiety/panic disorder & was wondering how effective it has been for some people at relieving anxiety symptoms. Also, I am terrified about gaining weight since I have spent this whole year so far trying to lose weight & have gotten 70 lbs off that I absolutely do not want to gain back. I do work out & eat very healthy.
