How To Cope With Anxiety Panic Disorders
Millions of Americans suffer from anxiety disorders at some point in their lives. Anxiety is, to some extent, a normal reaction to stressful situations, such as having to speak in public. However, for many people, their reactions to these situations go beyond normal day-to-day nervousness. Anxiety panic disorders may affect more than six million Americans at some point in their lives. These disorders are very real illnesses that can be crippling for some people.
The main characteristic of an anxiety panic disorder is the panic attack. These attacks can happen in response to specific stress factors, or they can occur spontaneously. The sufferer may experience shortness of breath, heart palpitations, sweating and nausea, and may feel as if they are about to lose their mind. Often, the person suffering an anxiety/panic attack will end up in the emergency room because they think they are having a heart attack.
The medical tests the person undergoes can often make their anxiety worse, as they fear that something is seriously wrong with them. If a person suffers panic attacks frequently, then they may develop some sort of phobia, particularly if the attacks occur in a specific location, such as elevators.
Fear of having panic attacks will often lead the sufferer to avoid specific situations or locations. Some people will develop agoraphobia and can become housebound, as they fear leaving their homes.
There are several options doctors may choose from when treating anxiety panic disorders. They can often be controlled through the use of medication. Antidepressants, such as SSRIs, have been found to be helpful for anxiety symptoms and there are also specific anti-anxiety medications that may be used in stressful situations.
Psychotherapy, especially cognitive and behavioral therapy, is also highly beneficial. Your doctor may also advise you to quit smoking or drinking coffee, since caffeine and nicotine have been found to increase anxiety symptoms.
Many doctors also recommend stress-reducing techniques, such as meditation, tai chi, and yoga. Cardiovascular exercise, such as brisk walking can also help to reduce stress. Alternative practitioners may recommend the use of herbal remedies; St. John's Wort and valerian root are among the natural remedies that may be helpful.
Anxiety panic disorders are serious illnesses which can be disabling. Many sufferers are virtually crippled as they try to organize their lives in such a way as to avoid anxiety/panic attacks. However, these disorders are treatable. With the use of antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications, stress management techniques and psychotherapy, many people with anxiety can live productive and fulfilling lives.

I am from Macedonia, 14years old teenager who's life was turned upside down about 6-7months ago. For many years I was staying at PC for about 8-10hours per day, and about 7-8months ago I had a very very bad flu which I was not even being able to stay, was vomiting way too frequently! it went away for about 2-3days, I never even thought to research on internet those times, and after some weeks I began to have burning sensations on my eyes and tears were coming out! then one day at school my vision turned blurry suddenly, I didn't know what was going on, it was blurry as hell on distance and I couldn't focus on nearby objects(1cm), and yes I've constantly had runny nose and blocked nose since I was a child, and for 2weeks or so it continued like that! then I began to have dizzy spells, hard to explain it's like spaced out feeling, being on a boat, dark places and the sky made me even dizzier, and I was pressing my head and I noticed that I had pain/tenderness around my eyebrows, above my eyes and on both sides of my forehead, we had Biology at school and our teacher talked about cancer, my panic and anxiety began that time! I couldn't wait to go home and research about the symptoms of brain tumor! and yes, I finally arrived to my house and I went to internet and was eating my nails, THE MOST COMMON SYMPTOMS : Headache(which I thought I had, but had no idea how bad the headaches of brain tumor really are) Vertigo(I didn't know what is that, when I translated it to my own language it meant Dizziness) and Seizures(on my language they meant putting your hand to your head) and I was like OOOOOOH NOO! I am going to die, and I ran to my mom and asked her to go to a doctor, her answer was : FOOL! since that time I was CONSTANTLY dizzy and began to have much more symptoms, when I went out of computer I thought I have a brain tumor and my head turned hot and my ears were hot as well, my head was shaking and so were my hands, after that I went to a doctor and she sent me for blood tests(CBC) I never told her what do I fear nor that I am anxious, everything came back normal, then one day I researched and thought I have Labyrinthitis which I went back to my doctor and she sent me to ENT, he checked my ears nose and throat and eyes from outside and told me nothing that serious! there was a bit of fluid on my left ear which he cleaned, then I had hearing tests which came back normal, nothing got better, my fears only raised, I feared more illnesses such as : meningitis,leukemia,lymphoma,migraine-associated vertigo etc.. then one day I began to have double vision only on nearby objects that are out of focus( for example when your eyes cannot focus on 2 objects at once, when you look to the one the other appears blurry ) those objects began to appear doubled to me, went back to my doctor which sent me to an Eye doctor in which I was diagnosed with Computer Eye strain, I get thousands of physical symptoms and if I do not think about one symptoms for some weeks it heals! I have mucus/phlegm buildup which I feel my throat is full with mucus, and so is my nose, my mucus is sometimes bloody, sometimes normal, sometimes orange, sometimes green! I can play football, I can run, things get much better when I enjoy the time and my dizziness almost goes away,when I went to an football hall I was dizzier because the color of it was ALL white, after 7months I am better but not good, I want my life back, it took me 35mins to write this, would be glad of you read it all! THAAAAAAAAAAAANKS everyone!

i know your all not docters but do you have any advice.
im looking for a job and i sign on fortnightly at the jobcenter.
but the past month ive picked up anxety and panic attacks , just being in public scares me.
iv'e just been sick , im shaking crying and im feeling very nauseous , i went docters and they said i am struggling with panic and anxiety , do you have any tips to calm me down , have you ever been in this situation? i dont want to be the only one
