Don't expect great things to happen over night. Start out slowly by meeting a friend somewhere for dinner. Your friend will be there to help keep your mind occupied. After several weeks of this type of intervention you may be ready to increase the number to two or three friends at a time. Before you leave the house you should tell yourself that you are going to have a good time.

Did the medical assistant lie or am I just being paranoid?
Ok so Tuesday I had a doctors appointment and requested an HIV test. My doctor didn't make me sign any papers but gave me the HIV test anyway. She told me it would take a couple of days and I can call to see if the results came back. Today (Thursday) I called and the medical assistant that answered the phone told me that my results came back but the doctor was not in today and she had to sign off on the results before I was able to receive them. I told the medical assistant that I was very scared about the results and asked her if she could just tell me if it was good news or bad news. She told me that the results were negative for HIV, syphillis, Hepatits B & C but the doctor still had to sign off on the results tomorrow because she wasn't in today. Then she said "actually it says non-reactive" which I know means negative. Is it possible that the medical assistant that I talked to told me the results were negative just to ease my mind a little bit until the doctor gets there tomorrow? Am I just being paranoid? I do have bad anxiety problems but they can't legally lie to me and tell me that I'm HIV- if I'm really HIV+ right? PLEASE HELP!!

ultrasound and another 1 week later?
Okay so I got a positive pregnancy test. I scheduled to go see the doctor. Going by my last period I should have been 6 1/2 weeks. I have a history of ectopic pregnancy so, they did an ultrasound. They checked my ovaries and the "cyst" that supports the pregnancy for the first months was there. He said at first he couldn't see anything in the uterus, then he found a little tiny circle and said oh there it is. So, he said something about it being earlier than they thought? He is having me come back next week for another ultrasound. So, my question is do you think there is something wrong? Or is he trying to get a better idea of when I'm due? I have an anxiety problem so of course I'm worried. I am not having bleeding or anything. Little cramps, but those are pretty normal for me with my prior ectopic surgery. I have had one baby post ectopic but I didn't go to the doc until about 8 weeks so I'm a little unfamiliar with this right now. Thanks so much and please only serious responses.
