What is the Difference between Anxiety and Depression?
Are you depressed or anxious? Do you know how to differentiate between Anxiety And Depression? The two are not the same; but they are often confused by many as the same. Anxiety can lead to depression and depression can cause anxiety to become severe, and vice versa.

Anxiety signs and symptoms can present itself in different forms; mild to severe anxiety. However, all kinds of disorders need adequate medical intercession so that proper treatment should be given before the matter got worse. Anxiety is believed to be usual awareness of worry that emanated from daily stresses of our lives. It could possibly be a normal reaction to stimuli and could get out of hand. Anxiety can make you feel sad, or even worried about something that is miniscule or inconsequential.
Anxiety And Depression Symptoms can go hand in hand. Both can equally damage a person's well being; while Depression is more severe and anxiety less serious, both can equally destroy a person if not properly addressed. The two mental disorder of Anxiety And Depression are managed in different ways. Antidepressants and anti-anxiety drugs are not the same, the chemical make-up of the two is also different, and that is one of the reasons specific interventions about these conditions are a must. If you are feeling anxious about something, don't immediately conclude that you are depressed. Remember that depression can become extreme while anxiety is sometimes just one of depression's many symptoms.
Regarding Depression and Anxiety symptoms, it is very crucial not to confuse one with the other. They are both different and even treated differently and separately. Yet, one of the best approaches to tackling these matters is to see a psychotherapist who has better understanding of both depression and anxiety. Do not analyze or diagnose your condition yourself. It is much easier to comprehend with the type of disorder you have when you're properly diagnosed by a professional.

Psychodynamic Therapy vs CBT Smackdown for Anxiety
9 Aug 2009 at 9:08am This study used seven different measures, not only at the end of treatment, but at a 6-month followup (something else many drug studies fail to do). Virtually of the measures employed showed significant improvement on anxiety and depression measures, not only at the end of treatment, but also virtually unchanged at the 6-month followup (e.g., the treatment was long-lasting). This study demonstrates that psychodynamic psychotherapy is an effective alternative for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder, when compared to the more commonly-used CBT. The researchers encourage more studies like this one, and I couldn’t agree more.
